Don't forget to visit Graça church, whose construction dates back to the 13th century; the decoration however incorporates baroque elements in some of the details and local craftsmanship in the azulejos, the tiles. Going up to Lisbon's highest point, the Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte is worth it, because of the amazing view and the quiet atmosphere.

From Graça, with the small shop owners, cafés and restaurants, it is easy to move to other parts of town, walking, by taxis which, by the way, are one of the cheapest in Europe. But if you have a little extra time, the best way to wander around is Lisbon tram,( at 2 mn walk you have the famous tram nr. 28) with the old-fashioned interiors: it will make you feel like a hero in a movie of a past decade! Close to the apartment you have the bus 12 and at 10 minutes walk the train and Metro station Santa Apolonia. Just at 5 minutes walk you can enjoy the famous flee market Feira da Ladra.
